About
I can't quite believe someone pays me to do the thing I love.
I'm Harvey. I've spent eight years photographing premium property in London, and I still do — the London agents I work for haven't gone anywhere. But I live in Bishop's Stortford now, and it turns out there is something quietly brilliant about shooting a flat fifteen minutes from your own front door, handing the files over the same evening, and running into the agent in the town the following week.
So this is the local half of what I do. Same equipment, same standard, same three things every time. The difference is that if something's wrong you can ring me and I can be back at the property that afternoon.
I like the problem. A property has one honest version of itself and the job is finding it — the light at the right hour, the angle that shows how the rooms connect, the detail somebody will care about. Get it right and everyone gets what they wanted. That's a nice way to spend a Tuesday.
